Walters throws away the season....

Here's an interesting thing.... Runner on 1st and 3rd, no out in the bottom of the 10th....

Bautista grounds a ball to 2nd, and Walters goes for the FC.... why in the world wouldn't he throw home?

Hmmm... or does that show that Walters DID try to throw home but Santana beat the throw..... but that'd be a FFC, failed fielder's choice; not a straight FC....

Yes it is scored a fielder's choice because he threw home to get the out and failed rather than take an easy out at 2nd or 1st. The key is that is shows both McGehee and Bautista safe on the play.

Right, I'm thinking STATS codes, where I'd put in a Failed Fielder's Choice (FFC).
